Vincent Benic Architect is a firm providing architectural and planning services for commercial, institutional, and higher education projects. Founded in 1993 as ABC Architects and as VBA since 2001, our firm has the expertise of over thirty years of professional practice. We have designed and managed many major multi-million dollar projects, servicing various nationally known institutions. Those projects range from major gut rehabilitations of existing structures to complex new buildings. VBA offers this broad experience in the context of a small office with a team approach. This ensures direct partner involvement at all stages of work, producing thoughtful and sensitive design solutions.

Vincent Benic, AIA

Vincent Benic Architect, LLC is led by Vincent Benic, AIA. He is intimately involved in each project he oversees and will supervise during each phase of the project, working closely with the staff and with our sub consultants. With over 30 years of experience, his breadth of knowledge of construction principles, technologies and management allows him to provide effective solutions for all types of project conditions at all stages of development. Vincent was the Project Manager during the design (3 years) and Project Field Architect during construction (5 years) of the Restoration of Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration for the National Parks Service. He has also designed and managed such large restoration projects as the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City, UT, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, NY, and the Art & Architecture Building at Yale University, New Haven, CT. Vincent led his staff for the following projects: St. Joseph’s Parish in Queens, NY, Betts House at Yale University, New Haven, CT, No. 1 Hillhouse Provost’s Offices and 370 Temple Center for Linguistics at Yale University, Wilbur Cross Building at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, Keating Hall Auditorium at Fordham University, Bronx, NY and basically any project VBA has completed. Vincent has fostered a long term relationship with Brooklyn Public Library through the excellent design services he has provided to their Libraries over their 15-year working relationship. For the Brooklyn Public Library System, Vincent has worked on the Dekalb Branch, Walt Whitman Branch, Williamsburg Branch, Brooklyn Central Library Center for Contemporary Culture & Plaza, Brooklyn Central Library Multimedia Center & Rare Book Archive, Fort Hamilton Branch, and Park Slope Branch. Vincent also has extensive experience with the application procedures, and requirements in presenting Landmark building restoration projects to numerous local and state preservation commissions in New York, including the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission as well as the NYC Department of Buildings Codes and procedures. Vincent’s expertise and knowledge of historic buildings has been acknowledged by numerous Landmark Preservation awards.
