Tirranna was personally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1959 and was under construction at the time of his death. ABC has been retained to evaluate and oversee correction of a variety of complex problems relating to the exterior envelope, in particular the sweeping roof forms which incorporate multiple skylights and unusual edge conditions.
This Arts and Crafts building, the former residence of the early 20th century actor William Gillette, was converted by the State of Connecticut into a museum. ABC was retained as preservation consultant for the Interior and Exterior Restoration. This project received the Connecticut Preservation Society Award.
